I finished our team’s (D-PEG…and associates[?]) first sketch model for the 341 ‘excellence in masonry’ competition. We are starting to move more toward the detail level of actual masonry assembly and arrangement…doing some really cool things with water, massive steel bolts and weep holes-all coming back to the initial inspiration of the ‘crying’ College of Design.
I have since updated the plaza to be more practical to build (less acute angles, which can’t be done with concrete [the back of the CoD and King Pavilion confirmed this…]). Since it’s the area that receives the most sunlight I’ve added planters and vines…and a random figure posting up at the bench.
